Temporary Ban on Poultry & Dairy Cattle Shows
In accordance with the State’s recent directive, and as part of a combined effort to prevent the spread of H5N1 among poultry and dairy cattle in our community, the Lake County Fair is adhering to the temporary ban on poultry and dairy cattle shows and exhibitions. This decision follows the recommendation of the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) State Veterinarian, Dr. Annette Jones.
We remain hopeful that this restriction will be lifted before the entry deadlines for the 2025 Annual Fair. Please stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
